The ESRC have announced their deadline and application process for this year’s Student Internship Scheme.
The scheme provides current ESRC funded PhD students with the opportunity to spend up to 6 months in a non-academic organisation within the public, civil society (voluntary) or private sector where they can work as part of a team involved with policy/practice development.
To apply you need to complete and return an application form for each of the Host Organisation(s) you wish to apply to by the closing date of 30 March 2012.
Participating Host Organisations for the 2012 internships include:
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- British Heart Foundation
- Department for Communities and Local Government
- Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)
- Home Office
- Law Commission
- Ministry of Justice
- The Scottish Government
- Thomas Pocklington
- Unchosen
- Welsh Government
- Westminster Drug Project
Internship award holders receive a 3 months extension to their ESRC award (conditions apply), and will be able to claim for reasonable travel and accommodation costs (conditions apply).
